Elk Hollow Resort

Our stay at Elk Hollow was absolutely wonderful! We stayed in Huckleberry tent. The place was spotless — you could tell how much care goes into keeping everything clean and welcoming. The accommodations had everything we needed and more, and it all felt so cozy and comfortable. It was the perfect spot to unwind and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. We loved our time there and can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend Elk Hollow to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway!

After several hours of research I decided on the Huckleberry Safari tent for me and my wife to spend a few days after she worked a week of inventory and we're so glad we did! I spoke on the phone with Jeanetta with questions about the property a couple of times and after talking to her Elk Hallow was our clear choice. She was kind, and informative in calls and quick to respond in emails. Huckleberry was a beautiful and well maintained property! The tub and shower was wonderful! The living/ kitchen area was everything we needed. Tina wanted to take the living area chairs with us! We slept very well in the bed area. Jeanetta suggested we bring an AWD or 4 wheel drive and we did. Once I got everything out of the truck on Saturday we never stepped off the Huckleberry deck again until we reloaded the truck to leave on Tuesday. It was totally relaxing. The Starlink internet was as fast if not faster than my Specturm at home. It was moonless nights and the stars were as bright as you can see on an eastern seaboard state. We could lay in bed and watch the sunrise. Jeanetta gave us some recommendations on hiking and restaurants. When we left we hiked to 3 beautiful waterfalls in less than 3 miles at Deep Creek just within the Great Smokey Mountains National Park and it was only 3 miles from Elk Hallow! Then we had a very good lunch at the Iron Wok in Bryson City. We would definitely go back!

Highly recommend a stay here. Bryson city is amazing, the location is like 7 minutes away. You have everything you need and then some! The host is communicative and responds fast. She’s super helpful as well. I stayed with my boyfriend and we had a wonderful time. The surrounding forest is beautiful and serene, and the whole experience is just perfect. There’s a nice kitchen if you wanna cook, but there are a ton of great food places in Bryson City. The bed is super comfortable, the space is cozy and intimate. You can walk the surrounding area, or drive a couple of minutes for some other trails, the great Smokey mountains are like 5 minutes away. It’s really perfect if you want a peaceful, adventurous yet relaxing getaway. If you get a chance to stay in the area, this place is worth a stay for a couple of nights.

Our stay at Elk Hollow was as unique as we have ever had in our 37 years of celebrating anniversaries. We loved everything about the property and our safari tent experience. We will be back to enjoy it during the warmer months. Thank you for developing such a great property.

We stayed in the tent called “ Huckleberry” I was a little unsure because we had never stayed in anything like this but let me tell you it was absolutely amazing!!! It was exactly like the pictures and video. Huckleberry was just what we needed to get away for our 34 wedding anniversary. The host was very informative and detailed no one bothered us and every detail was perfect. We will be back !!! Huckleberry did not disappointed and by the way the first thing we saw when we walked up on the deck were pillows in the outdoor furniture that said “ I’ll Be Your Huckleberry” so appropriate and it made it that much more special. Thank you for this wonderful quaint place and again we will be back !!

Wife and I stayed here in one of the safari tents for a birthday getaway, and we absolutely loved it! The accommodations are so unique, and unlike anything we had ever stayed in before. Favorite feature was definitely the hot tub; but we also built a fire one of the nights and enjoyed hanging out inside the tent too. With the full kitchen, it made it easy to cook meals in and relax. The nearby hiking is gorgeous, we enjoyed seeing several waterfalls. Bryson City is also such a cute little town, and was all decorated for the holidays when we were there. Overall we had a great time and would highly recommend this to anyone considering it. You will not be disappointed.

My boyfriend & I loved staying at the Elk Hollow Resort! We stayed at the Foxfire safari tent for my birthday & it was absolutely amazing. Very clean and has everything you need. Our favorite part was a visit by Jorga, the owner’s dog. She was the sweetest & visited us two days in a row. You can’t go wrong with a trip to the mountains & Elk Hollow is a hidden, romantic getaway. Thank you so much! We will definitely be back!

Our trip to Lookout Lodge was an amazing experience. The house had everything you could need and plenty of games to keep everyone entertained. Everything was very clean and in working order. We will definitely be back for another visit in the future.
